I felt a little silly because when I spoke to them I thought they said family of 4, but when they showed up, there were 6 of them. So I just assumed they were one big family, especially since they were all in matching clothes. Eventually as I kept sticking them all together, they finally mentioned they wanted a few shots of just the family together. I was confused, until I figured out that one of the girls and one of the boys were just friends of the kids. The location of Fort Pickens was suggested by them, but I love shooting inside the fort. The lighting is so perfect in some of the archways and combined with the brick, photos always seem to come out nice from sessions there and these were no different.
